My name is Agatha Gallagher, but most people call me Aggie. I created this site as a digital portfolio so you could get to know me a little better. Here are some random facts about myself that may give you a sense of who I am. I am obsessed with dogs, and adore my little beagle, Leela. I’ve lived most of my life in Saint Louis, Missouri, and went to college at Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo. While there, I volunteered at the Humane Society so I could have my regular dog fix while away from home. Most of my friends have come to accept that I have a weird fascination with angler fish that is filled with awe and terror. I don’t have a favorite color—I can’t commit to something that serious. I love painting and wish I had more time for it. My easel is currently holding a canvas featuring robots performing reproductive surgery. The subject is a first for me, by the way. I’ve played the guitar ever since I was 9, and I am currently attempting to master playing jazz. I like to have a sense of humor about things, and I laugh at my own jokes constantly. I studied abroad in Florence, Italy for a month in the summer of 2008, and went back in the of summer 2010 with the School of Visual Arts. I absolutely love it there, but don’t speak enough Italian to survive on my own. I am currently employed at the St. Louis Jewish Light, a non-profit Jewish newspaper (which also produces a quarterly magazine), as the production/editorial assistant and executive producer for online videos. Basically, I design ads and editorial pages, update the content and format for paper’s website and I shoot, edit and post video content each week.
